Making Ready!

For three years now we have been shouting, “Make Ready!”

The Storm is nearly upon us.

If you’ve noticed “This Side of the Whirlwind” the Blog has not been as prolific… then you’ve noticed we’ve been about the Master’s (Jesus’) business.

We have been purchasing land,

storing up supplies.

Making connections with other like-minded Christians who are also preparing for the coming Storm of the Tribulation Period that is coming. Continue reading →

Prophecy’s Conundrum

One of the most frustrating aspects of serving the King (Jesus) is the waiting on prophetic fulfillment.

I have not witnessed much of this phenomenon in the lives of others, but for me, for my life, it has been a widespread singularity.  You know, going out on the end of that Rope-Bridge of faith.

AS a boy I felt called to lead groups of Christians into the wilderness, forests and deserts et’cetera.  I had no idea it would involve me writing a book.

After I was filled with the Holy Spirit at the age of nine I began hearing God’s voice.  Over and over I would receive Words of Knowledge which would come to pass in relatively short order. Unfortunately, as I got older the Lord’s voice which was previously so loud and certain… now began to grow quieter and less pronounced.

Yes, the Words of Knowledge still came to pass but I was more uncertain as the years mounted upon years.  Continue reading →

More Signs Of The Times!

Hey Whirlwind Fans, I read this article sent to me by a friend and thought you might benefit from the read.
Note: even though “This Side of the Whirlwind” explains many of the misinterpretations found in this article (Great Tribulation based misunderstandings) the article still points out some pertinent and interesting Signs of the Times.

Prophecy Fulfilled or What?

A friend of mine wrote this little study on a prophecy found in Hosea chapter 4.
Just thought I’d pass it along.
BTW, anything in RED lettering is one of my additions to Vito’s text.
https://youtu.be/Dp7KfG9AjaY
Written by Vito Teti:
The plight of today’s fishing industry-
https://m.huffpost.com/us/entry/us_4393946
It’s a fact that the world’s fish stocks are currently being decimated by a combination of over-fishing, ocean pollution & climate change.
Regardless of the direct human influences, could this also parallel a prophecy of Divine Judgement?
Consider what the implications would be if the global fishing industry totally collapsed:

  • How would that affect us all?
  • How would it impact the world ecosystems?
  • What about the global economy?

It would be totally disastrous all the way around, wouldn’t it?

Hosea 4:3
“Therefore the land will mourn;
And everyone who dwells there will waste away
With the beasts of the field
And the birds of the air;
Even the fish of the sea will be taken away.” (NKJV)

Let’s read what the book of Hosea says, chapter 4, verse 3d –

  • The fishes of the sea also shall be taken away. (KJV)
  • Even the fish of the sea will be taken away. (NKJV)
  • Even the fish in the sea will be removed. (CJSB)
  • Even the fish of the sea shall fail. (NETS-LXX)
  • Even the fish of the sea are perishing (NRSV)
  • And the fish of the sea are disappearing. (NLT)
  • And also the fish of the sea disappear. (NASB footnote, the literal Hebrew is: “are taken away”).Note the KJV, NKJV & CJSB say that the fish will be either “Taken Away or Removed”.  By whom?
And notice that the NRSV, NLT & NASB are in the present tense.  Is this happening right now just as predicted?

Though let’s keep Hosea 4:1-10 in context: (NASB)

1. Listen to the word of the Lord, O sons of Israel, For the Lord has a case against the inhabitants of the land, Because there is no faithfulness or kindness Or knowledge of God in the land.
2.There is swearing, deception, murder, stealing and adultery. They employ violence, so that bloodshed follows bloodshed.
3. Therefore the land mourns, And everyone who lives in it languishes, Along with the beasts of the field and the birds of the sky, And also the fish of the sea disappear.
4. Yet let no one find fault, and let none offer reproof; For your people are like those who contend with the priest.
5. So you will stumble by day, And the prophet also will stumble with you by night; And I will destroy your mother.
6. My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being My priest. Since you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.
7.The more they multiplied, the more they sinned against Me; I will change their glory into shame.
8.They feed on the sin of My people, And direct their desire toward their iniquity.
9. And it will be, like people, like priest; So I will punish them for their ways, And repay them for their deeds.
10.They will eat, but not have enough; They will play the harlot, but not increase, Because they have stopped giving heed to the Lord.

Judgment that’s long over-due, yes?

Because of the state of the world’s modern standards that sounds pretty darn close to this indeed:

So now we call the proud blessed,
For those who do wickedness are raised up,
They even tempt God and go free.
Malachai 3:15  (NKJV)
History repeating itself perhaps?
Are we on the cusp of The Judgment?
Do we really need to ask with all the signs and prophecies taking place?
If the answer is, “yes, we need to ask,” then WE are not paying much attention to the world around us and all the prophecies which have and are coming to pass right now!
Comments / Questions / Criticisms?
Well, you know how to reach us.
God bless you and your preparation for the Coming Storm!

The Series

The Tribulation Period Vs. Wrath of God

As strongly supported by elements of the text, the Tribulation Period is not likely to be the Wrath of God. Rather the Tribulation Period and Wrath of God are two totally separate and distinct components of the Great Consummation. The distinctions are obvious when all scriptures are fully considered within the Word of God. Should the Tribulation Period and the Wrath of God overlap at any point, scriptures would be violated. The primary function for the Tribulation Period is to separate true Christians from pseudo-Christians in order to exclude the faithful followers within the Body of Christ from the Wrath of God and prepare the saints for the Rapture, thereby fulfilling prophecy (Matthew 13:24–30). When considering these truths, it should be obvious true Christians are removed before the Wrath of God comes upon the wicked. By the time of God’s Wrath, the entire Body of Christ will reside at the Marriage Supper of the Lamb with the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. Such scriptural truths confirm the Body of Christ’s role during the Tribulation Period of the Great Consummation. Continue reading →

A Word from the Lord

December 22nd 2018

As many of you know “This Side of the Whirlwind” is a book of prophecy for this generation of the Body of Christ; nevertheless, it is rare for me to offer a Prophetic Word as I am merely a recipient and not the author of such revelation. Now, it is with great sadness and many tears I offer this Prophecy in the name of the Lord.

Lord, let there be two or three witnesses that Your Word lie not in the purview of men (2nd Corinthian 13:1).

I was in prayer Saturday, December 22nd when I received the following Word from the Lord:

(Beginning of Word from the Lord) Continue reading →

A Prophetic Life?

Thus says the Lord, “One year from now you will have a son and he will be a man of God.”

These words were spoken – by a stranger – to my mother – 12 months before I was born.  I don’t know if I was born on the exact same day 12 months later but I wouldn’t be surprised.

Though not by choice at first I have lived a life filled with prophecies and interactions with God. Today, I would not have it any other way!

Some prophecies over the course of my life were given to me (for me) by others with prophetic giftings – some of those prophecies came to pass and some not so much.

So what is a legitimate prophecy? Continue reading →

Who Can Learn?

Scripture supports itself!

Who can accurately learn and understand the message found in God’s Word?

Well, according to Isaiah 28:9–13 and Hebrews 5:12-14, God teaches and enlightens those who mature in the pursuit of His Word and His Will:

For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed into the image of his Son… (Romans 8:29 NIV)

So who will HE teach? Continue reading →
