The Second Half of Christ’s Covenant
Part 3
We left off with this contract between God and Humanity:
Behold, I set before you today a blessing and a curse;
- the blessing, if you obey the commandment of the LORD your God which I command you today;
- And the Curse (Judgment) if you do not obey the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you today. (Deuteronomy 11:26-28 NKJV)

Now, let’s look at the Split Versing of the Covenant of Jesus Christ.” The two divisions of the contract or covenant can be seen in Isaiah 61:1 and 2.
First Half of the Covenant”
At the beginning of His ministry Jesus announced Himself the fulfillment of the Blessing’s Half of the Contract when He said Isaiah 61:1-2a was fulfilled by Him (Jesus). He did this on the day He entered into His hometown Synagogue in Nazareth (Luke 4:14-21) and proclaimed Himself Israel’s Messiah. Here is what He read, Isaiah 61:1-2a:
