The New Heaven and New Earth

To Adam he said, “Because you listened to your wife and ate fruit from the tree about which I commanded you, ‘You must not eat from it,’ Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat food from it all the days of your life. It will produce thorns and thistles for you, and you will eat the plants of the field. By the sweat of your brow you will eat your food until you return to the ground, since from it you were taken; for dust you are and to dust you will return.” (Genesis 3:17–19 KJV)
The dirt of the earth has been cursed because of the actions of Adam. For this reason, when the Millennium is over the earth and all its contents will be consumed by fire in order to purge man’s curse from the planet (Revelation 22:3). Once the curse has been removed from the earth, God the Father will cause a new heaven and earth to replace the old heaven and earth. The new heaven and earth will not possess curses. Rather, God’s blessing and goodness will flow throughout the new world and we will be utterly blessed.

For if they escaped not who refused him who spoke on earth, how much more shall we not escape if we turn away from Him that speaks from Heaven, whose voice then shook the earth: but now He promises, saying, “Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven?” (Hebrews 12:22–26 NKJV emphasis added) Continue reading →
