Placement of Faith

Hi Whirlwind Fans.

In one of our last Blogs[1] we touched upon the “Decay Rate of Faith” which is an indicator of how much we actually believe in God and what GOD has written in His Word; you know, the Bible.

The primary question‘s’ posed in the “Decay Rate of Faith” was: do you actually believe what the Bible says.  The blog was premised with this statement:

Our ‘faith’ in God and His Word is directly proportional to how big and powerful we believe or perceive our God to be.

The above statement is true – most however, DON’T know what to do with it!

The primary question posed in, “Placement of Faith” is the one addressing the practical application of our walking faith; you know, how your daily life reflects that level of faith you say or think you have.

So let’s get to it!

Consider these fundamental questions – as they apply to your life of faith:

  • Do you truly believe God will meet your emotional, physical, financial needs; those dire need‘s’ which cause you to cry-out to your God, “Help me Lord!”?
  • Secondly, are you genuinely expecting a healing to take place; or money to come in; or answers to manifest because you prayed?
  • How about when you are praying over a sick friend or for another individual’s healing… do you expect them to actually get healed?
  • Or just as significantly do you expect to be healed when others pray for your sickness or condition?
  • Thirdly, when you ask the Lord your God to get you – the job – the husband/wife – the house – etcetera… when you want something so badly you can taste it, are you able to TRUST that the Lord made the correct decision for you and your life when you DID NOT or DO NOT get the job/husband/wife/house/etc. you wanted?

I’m assuming this question for you will equal = is your God big enough for you to actually trust in every decision HE makes for your life?

OR DID/DOES

God drop the ball when your circumstances lead to your unhappiness or depression?

OR

When you’re sickness or injury brings you grief does that therefore mean God failed to protect you?

OR

Is God letting you down when you didn’t get that promotion or job or whatever it was you thought you wanted or needed so badly or importantly?

OR

Do you feel God is failing you when you (big business now):

  • Have a friend or loved one die
  • Get fired from a desired job or career
  • Fail to get hired at that job of your dreams
  • OR
  • Simply any in a million prayers or requests you did or did not get answered the way you thought you wanted or needed it/them answered?

Everyone is different, of course.

These questions really amount to this:

Is the God of your faith, your life, your Bible – is HE big enough?

Is HE SO big… big enough that you can trust HIM ~ NO — Matter — What?

You see Whirlwind Fans, GOD is bigger than any problem you could possibly imagine WHETHER you can see that or not.

The difference is this – YOUR perception of God impacts your personal faith and trust and therefore happiness in HIM.  And perception matters on an enormous scale; especially regarding faith in God.

Remember the Biblical concept: ALL THINGS work together for good to those who love God and are called according to HIS purpose (Romans 8:28).

That is – All things!

God causes all things to work collectively for good!

However, sometimes it is not just about our personal good.

Sometimes it is about good being accomplished for the Kingdom of God.

For example, your growth and development as a Kingdom Kid, a child of the Living God, a person being grown into the likeness and image of God’s Son.  This second part goes to the next verse: Romans 8:29

“For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the likeness and image of His Son…”

When Jesus had to suffer and die for the sin of the world… all things were still working together for good – it was just that this time it was working together for the good of God’s children who needed Jesus to die for the sin of the world so Jesus could: (Daniel 9:24)

  • As a Jewish man
  • In the city of Jerusalem
  • Finish the transgression
  • Make and end of sin
  • Make reconciliation for iniquity
  • AND
  • Bring in everlasting righteousness.

This is the FIRST half of the Covenant of Jesus Christ for which Jesus spent 3½ years living and dying to produce.

Jesus’ suffering is the very epitome or even definition of Romans 8:28, “We know that all things work together for good for those that love God and are called according to His purpose.”

So maybe your sufferings are taking place for the good of others or for growth into your future self or just for the Kingdom of God.

Trust the Lord keeps His Word, Romans 8:28.

All things do work together for good… just not always your own personal affirmation or gratification.

So I ask you,

How big is your God?  Is your perception of God big enough?

Remember…

Our ‘faith’ in God and His Word is directly proportional to how big and powerful we believe or perceive our God to be.

My God Reigns throughout all the Universe!
