Shaped and Transformed Into?
What are you learning?
If you were called upon to prepare a group of people for a wide-ranging existence…
Where they needed to love the unlovable and show kindness to those who did not seem to deserve kindness…
What kind of environment would you prepare for your people?
Would you not create an environment where the principles and characteristics of kindness and love were not generally displayed and seldom offered on a daily basis?
Wouldn’t you instead put your people face to face with those who needed or seemed to need kindness and love – People who needed love and kindness but were themselves rather devoid of that same kindness and generally ungrateful and mostly unloving?
How better to teach your people than with those who don’t deserve it or display such attributes?
AND, what if you needed to teach your group to endure hardship and humiliation while learning about love and kindness?
Would you not place your people in circumstances where they were faced daily with hardship and the need to frequently wrangle their pride into humility?
What does THIS WORLD we live in and the circumstances that are common to all humans tell us about the things God wants us to learn thoroughly?
Based on what we see all around us every day and the people we must learn to love and care for…
WHAT would you say our world was specifically DESIGNED to teach the Human Race (that’s you and me)?
Here’s something the Apostle Paul once said to the Ephesians. You can find it in Ephesians chapter 4, verses 31-32.
“Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamor, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake has forgiven you.”
