Israel, God’s Not Finished

Alright, the last segment for, “Israel, God’s Not Finished.”

By the time the Two Witnesses and 144k have delivered their Gospel messages across the Nation of Israel during the Great Consummation… the Jews, will be just about ready for God to lift their “Blinding in Part” (Romans 11:25-32).

For a little over 2000 years the majority of the Israelite peoples have been supernaturally prevented from seeing, hearing, comprehending or apprehending Jesus as their Messiah, King and ultimately their Savior.  Oh yeah, let’s not forget Jesus is also their God too.

God formed a covenant with the Israelites thousands of years ago through Moses and David and has harshly used the amazing Jewish people repeatedly in foreshadowing Christ’s message and eternal purposes here on the planet of “Lost Peoples”; otherwise, known as Earth.

Consider this for one moment: Israel, a Nation which can fit more than 12X into the State of Texas repeatedly draws the attention of the entire World.  Not just the USA or the Middle East or even Russia; amazingly, Israel catches the entire world’s attention month after month and year after year.  The Belly-Button of the world bristling with bellybutton-lint strikes again and again.  Obviously, Israel matters on a grand scale we cannot even understand with the existence of God. Ha!  Just a thought.

So, let’s continue where we left off in, “ https://thissideofthewhirlwind.wordpress.com/2018/07/05/israel-gods-not-finished-part-2/

” with this wonderful excerpt out of, “This Side of the Whirlwind, The Coming Apocalypse” chapter 18; pages 336-341.  (I know, this last sentence was a little self-serving, but you liked it and you know it!)

For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. For just as you were at one time disobedient in order that by the mercy shown to you they also may now receive mercy because of their disobedience. (Romans 11:29–30 ESV)

  • Israel’s salvation was long ago prophesied.[1]
  • The nations of the world walked in disobedience so God could show mercy through His Son.

“So they too have now been disobedient in order that by the mercy shown to you they also may now receive mercy” (Romans 11:31 ESV).

  • In similar fashion, the nation of Israel, because of their blinding, also walked in disobedience so that the gentile nations could receive salvation through God’s mercy.
  • Now the Israelites will receive of that same mercy and bounty.

{It may be difficult to see at this juncture but these dismal events brought God’s greatest gift to the world; adoption into the family of God!  Israel’s loss of favor allowed for the Gentile nations of the world to receive salvation also known as adoption into the family of Christ; too cool, I know.}

“For God has consigned all to disobedience, that he may have mercy on all” (Romans 11:32 ESV).

  • God’s objective is now revealed.
  • Through the blood of His Son, new sons and daughters can be born.

Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways! “For who has known the mind of the Lord, or who has been his counselor?” “Or who has given a gift to him that he might be repaid?” For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen. (Romans 11:33–36 ESV)

  • God’s ways are so far beyond our understanding; we cannot truly appreciate or comprehend why God does many of the things in the way He does them.
  • With this in mind, trust the Lord with all of your being, for He can be trusted.
  • Aside from this truth, who is truly foolish enough to believe in God and also stand in opposition to God’s will or purpose?

From before the time of Adam and Eve, these events were known and then ordained by God to fulfill God’s purposes and plans.

There has never been a mistake credited to God’s ledger. God, through His Son Jesus Christ, fashioned the universe, the angels, humanity, and everything within the cosmos, according to His will.[2] Those whom God foreknew[3] did He also predestine, conform, and purpose into members of the Body of Christ. And the Body of Christ has been purposefully formed into the likeness and image of God’s Son. [4] The Creator did predestine His children to be conformed, saved, and transformed into the embodiment of His will and purpose.

Similarly, those individuals whom God foreknew, those who refused to be transformed into a likeness or image of Christ, no matter the efforts, those individuals did God predestine[5] to become the chaff, the goats, the brute beasts created unto destruction. Bear in mind, those whom God calls have a choice.[6] It is the individual’s choice to serve God or remain apart. If you have never been offered the opportunity to receive Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, then you should choose to accept Him right now, at this very moment, as your personal, loving Lord and Savior. You can choose to reject Jesus and everything for which He stands, or you can choose to become saved and free from sin and death.[7]

What’s the point?

Something we should recognize is that God has a significant plan still in the works for Israel.

  • We know Israel was restored as a Nation in fulfillment of Latter Days prophecies such as:
    • Jeremiah 16:14-16: Israel restored & Hunters to hunt
    • Jeremiah 23:7-20: Israel restored in the Latter Days
    • Jeremiah 30:1-24: Jacob’s Trouble
  • We know the nation and people of Israel will be under some form of siege during the final days of the Church Age or Time of the Gentiles (Luke 21:20-22).
  • We know God will send the Two Witnesses during the entire 3½ years of the Great Consummation period Revelation 11:3-12.
  • God also sends the 144,000 Elect during the final year or The Wrath of God portion of the Great Consummation Revelation 7:1-8.
  • We know both the Two Witnesses and 144,000 will minister to the nation of Israel preparing Israel for their coming Messiah, Jesus when Jesus and the Body of Christ are foretold to split the skies over Jerusalem near the end of the Great Consummation when the Battle of Armageddon is in full swing.

Bear in mind, none of these events COULD take place if Israel did not exist at the time of the Coming of the Lord.

Lastly, scripture tells us Israel has a place in the great Millennial Reign of Jesus Christ.

All the world will send representatives to the land of Israel during that up and coming 1000 year reign of the Lord.

Well, I hope this was an interesting and eye opening series.

Christians owe a lot to the Jewish people.  Israel had to be ransomed and suffer so that we could come to know our Lord and Master, Jesus; and in this way, all the nations of the world are and have been blessed (Genesis 12:1-3).

Thank you, Israel.

Thank you, Jesus!

Thank you, readers for without you all that I write would be moot. 🙂

Have a blessed day.
