Oh Lord my God,

Be exulted above and over all the treasures, possessions, creeds or beliefs of my life.

Lord, let not one earthly prize seem dear or precious above my heart’s desire for You.

Cause my life, my mouth, my actions and my heart to do credit to You and Your name;

and let me crave family nor friend nor loved one beyond the degree to which I call You friend, Lord and my God.

Dear Lord, clear a place in my heart so You are before my own comforts; before my reputation; above any and all ambitions even should it mean I must sink into obscurity.

In all I do or speak or serve may You receive the glory and honor and they whom I serve receive Your sweet salvation.

For thus is Your proper place in my life.

“How can you believe (trust someone) who receives honor from one another, and do not seek the honor that comes from the only God? (Or God alone/ John 5:44 NKJV)
