The Hidden Agenda
Did you know God did not reveal the full Latter Days message regarding the End Times until just recently?
I’ll show you how we can know that for sure.
IN 1970 God spoke to me and asked me this question, “Why was Jesus’ ministry just 3½ years?”
I certainly didn’t know at that time because I was only twelve years old.
Still… think about it… WHY?
Moses’ ministry spanned more than 40 years.
Paul’s ministry covered more than 30 years.
And yet… the most significant Biblical figure of all time/s, the Son of God, the Lamb slain from the foundations of world enjoyed a ministry lasting just 3½ years!
Think about it!
Consider what Jesus could have achieved if He had 40 years to offer in ministry.
Okay! So God must have had a significant reason for Jesus’ ministry only lasting 3½ years.
So, what was it!?
Let’s consider this answer:
After God asked me the question in 1970 about Jesus’ ministry only lasting 3½ years I spent the next 35 years looking for the answer. I imagine that is why God asked me the question.
Still, I asked Theologians, Scholars and Pastors if they knew why Jesus’ ministry had only lasted 3½ years.
You know what… no one seemed to know the answer!
Not one Theologian, Scholar nor Pastor knew the real reason why Jesus’ ministry HAD TO BE just 3½ years.
Now, don’t you find that strange?
In fact, it wasn’t until God began giving me revelation for the book, “This Side of the Whirlwind” that the Lord finally spilled the beans and revealed this profound and important truth; finally answering the big question burning in my brain.
What do you think?
Did God ask me that question just so He could drive me CRAZY!
Or did the Lord simply want me to seek the answer before He gave me the book, “This Side of the Whirlwind?”
Yep, that’s what I think.
Sounds like God concealed this great mystery about Christ’s 3½ years of ministry until the Body of Christ had entered the Latter Days.
Well, if God’s Word was keeping such an important volume of information secret, information the Saints need to know, then the Lord should also have shared this secret somewhere else in God’s Word.
AND GUESS WHAT, IT DOES!
Amos 3:7 tells us: “Surely the Lord GOD does nothing,
Unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets.”
Let’s see where that secret can be found?
Let me ask, had you heard about God holding back important Latter Days information, volumes of it before this message?
Well you should have because God told us all about it.
Yes He did!
The Lord told us several times throughout His Word.
Here’s just one of those locations:
In Daniel 8:15-26 the Angel Gabriel brings Daniel a vision.
- Then it happened, when I, Daniel, had seen the vision and was seeking the meaning, that suddenly there stood before me one having the appearance of a man. (The angel Gabriel)
- And I heard a man’s voice between the banks of the Ulai, who called, and said, “Gabriel, make this man understand the vision.”
- So he (Gabriel) came near where I stood, and when he came (close) I was afraid and fell on my face; (then Gabriel) said to me, “Understand, son of man, that the vision refers to the time of the end.”
The phrase, “Time of the End” refers to the End Times or Latter Days.
- Now, as he was speaking with me, I was in a deep sleep with my face to the ground; but he (Gabriel) touched me, and stood me upright.
- And he said, “Look, I am making known to you what shall happen in the latter time of the indignation; for at the appointed time the end shall be.
We skip the next 7 verses because those verses are describing elements related to the Beast and his reign during the Latter Days; so let’s jump down to verse 26:
- “And the vision of the evenings and mornings which was told is true; therefore seal up the vision, for it refers to many days in the future.”
You see, God was telling Daniel to conceal a portion of the End Times message he had just experienced through the vision he was given by the Archangel Gabriel.
This is just one of four places where God says He is holding back End Times information.
In other words, God did not, will not release the entire End Times’s message until (according to scripture) the Body of Christ has entered the Time of the END.
Still, God’s Word tells us that prophecies must be confirmed by the mouth of two or three witnesses (2 Corinthians 13:1) so this revelation about End Times information being hidden should be repeated somewhere else in God’s Word. We’re talking about a contract between God and humanity.
GUESS WHAT… It IS!
Daniel 12:4-9 provides two distinct directives from God where He specifically instructs Daniel, through Gabriel, to shut up the words and seal the book [UNTIL-the-TIME-of-the-END!].
And if that is not enough then God conveys this truth in one more place I can take you to; Revelation chapter 10 written through the Apostle John.
I (John) saw still another mighty angel coming down from heaven, clothed with a cloud. And a rainbow was on his head; his face was like the sun, and his feet like pillars of fire. 2 He had a little book open in his hand. And he set his right foot on the sea and his left foot on the land, 3 and cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roars. When he cried out, seven thunders uttered their voices. 4 Now when the seven thunders uttered their voices, I was about to write; but I heard a voice from heaven saying to me, “Seal up the things which the seven thunders uttered, and do not write them.”
This is the same vision Daniel experienced in Daniel 12:4-9 with a few slight variations. After all, consider John is seeing what Daniel saw simply 600ish years later.
How do we know that?
Check the imagery from both sections of Scripture.
5 The angel whom I saw standing on the sea and on the land raised up his hand to heaven 6 and swore by Him who lives forever and ever, who created heaven and the things that are in it, the earth and the things that are in it, and the sea and the things that are in it, that there should be delay (or time) no longer, 7 but in the days of the sounding of the seventh angel, when he is about to sound, the mystery of God would be finished, as He declared to His servants the prophets. (Revelation 10:1-7 NKJV emphasis added)
Do we need a little more corroboration?
Well then… how about the Apostle Paul declaring fulfillment for the first half of the Covenant of Jesus Christ!
And Jesus proclaiming He was fulfilling the “Acceptable Year of the Lord” the “Blessings” half of the Covenant in Luke 4:14-21.
Ohhh, that’s good stuff, or cool beans as my daughter used to say:
Check it out… The Apostle Paul declared in Colossians 1:25-27
“…I (Paul) became a minister according to the stewardship from God which was given to me for you (the Body of Christ) to fulfill the word of God,
(Paul was given) the mystery which has been hidden from ages and from generations, but now has been revealed to His saints. (That’s you and me.)
To them (the saints) God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
You see, Jesus fulfilled the 1st half or Blessings half of Christ’s Covenant (Isaiah 61:1-2a)
The Acceptable Year of the Lord during His 3½ years of ministry!
Now, I don’t know how many of you have heard about the 2nd half of Christ’s Covenant, the “Day of Vengeance of our God” or days of vengeance as mentioned in Luke 21:22 but the Bible only mentions 7 3½ year segments with all references relating to the 2nd half of Christ’s Covenant except one. Guess what, that one reference relates to the 1st half of the Covenant.
Did you know the New Testament represents the 1st half of Christ’s Covenant?
That’s right. Pretty cool isn’t it?
Just think about what you’ll learn in the next blog.
