Left Behind? Really?
Recently I sat and fretfully watched another Pre-Tribulation Rapture movie, Left Behind 2014 with Nick Cage, Cassi Thomson, Chad Michael Murry, Lea Thompson and many more excellent actors.
I enjoyed the movie even though it grieved my soul. Strange I know, but there is enough of a warning in the movie to at least present the idea of Christ’s pending return, which is true.
It is not as though I had many choices if I wanted to watch an End Times related flick.
The World is awash with Pre-Trib books and movies even though the Pre-Tribulation Rapture doctrine is filled with gaping holes. Pre-Trib is utterly untenable Biblically and there are elements of the message which are extremely dangerous for Christians.
If you doubt this statement spend the meager $4.99 for an E-book copy of “This Side of the Whirlwind, The Coming Apocalypse” and turn to chapter twelve where the book and God’s Word proves Pre, Mid and Post-Tribulation Rapture doctrines ARE NOT scripturally supportable any more than the teaching of A-Millennialism or Preterism. What ridiculous doctrines Biblically speaking. New revelation on the subject had been concealed for millennia (Daniel 12:4-11 & Revelation 10:1-7). Here are just a couple of the proofs found in “This Side of the Whirlwind” proving Pre-Trib is a farce.
- Scriptural support does not exist for a seven year period of Judgment also called God’s Wrath or The Great Tribulation; rather, scripturally there is a seven year segment in a prophecy which is required to be divided into two 3½ periods in order to bring the covenant of Jesus Christ to completion and provide humanity with the potential for salvation (Daniel 9:24-27). What an important difference! These scriptural truths are fully explained in “This Side of the Whirlwind, The Coming Apocalypse.”
- The Great Tribulation doctrine misrepresents God’s plan for the completion of Christ’s Covenant; a covenant which began with the first 3½ years of Christ’s ministry so Jesus could fulfill the Blessing half of Christ’s Covenant. Remember Jesus said in Luke 4:14-22 that this prophecy (Isaiah 61:1-2a) was fulfilled at that time in the presence of His family and community. The people were so please they tried to pitch Him off the nearest cliff.
- The actual purpose for the Great Tribulation, which more accurately should be called the Great Consummation or great completion, is to complete the second half of Christ’s covenant, the covenant that provides the salvation we all enjoy. Jesus completed the first half which was required to bring the Blessings portion of the agreement to the world. The second half of the contract or Curses half of the covenant is designed to separate the Promise-Keepers (True-Christians) from the Promise-breakers (Pseudo-Christians) before the judgment or curses are leveled on those who broke Christ’s (God’s) contract with humanity. Such is the purpose behind both Christ’s ministry (first half) and the Great Consummation or completion (second half of the seven years of Christ’s Covenant as prophesied in Daniel 9:24-27). Jesus fulfilled the first four edicts found in Daniel 9:24!
- The pronoun “He” in Daniel 9:27 cannot represent the Beast or Anti-Christ as presupposed in most other End Time’s teachings. The pronoun “He” in verse 27 is irrefutably Jesus Christ who strongly confirmed a covenant with the Body of Christ for seven years (3½ years for Christ’s ministry and 3½ years for the Great Consummation) in accordance with the Seventy Weeks of Daniel prophecy.
These are only a few of the solid Biblical reasons the Pre-Tribulation Rapture doctrine cannot stand against the complete teachings of God’s Word. Too many sections of scripture must be twisted or left out before the Pre-Trib or other End Times messages can be considered as gospel.
We’ll take it from here on the next blog. Until then I recommend you get a copy of “This Side of the Whirlwind” because it is likely one of the most important book any Christian can read in the next few years.
“This Side of the Whirlwind” was given by God for this generation of the Latter Days. Among other things, it was given to dispel the error and misguided teaching which resulted from God concealing nearly half of the End Times message even as He said He would.
Remember, Paul said in Colossians 1:26
…I became a minister according to the stewardship from God which was given to me for you, to fulfill the word of God, the mystery which has been hidden from ages and from generations, but now has been revealed to His saints. To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. (NKJV)
This revelation to Paul the Apostle was a revelation about the first half of the Covenant designed to bring the saving grace of Jesus, God’s Son, or the blessings half of the covenant and that is exactly what Jesus did.
The Great Consummation message or “This Side of the Whirlwind, The Coming Apocalypse,” brings a new revelation taken from long established scriptures which have intentionally informed the Saints that a portion of the End Times message has been and was going to be concealed until the time of The END. For centuries scholars and Theologians have created doctrines related to the End Times even though they knew a large portion of the End Times message was intentionally concealed by God. How could they not have gotten the message incorrect when God concealed it until the time of The END?
This is one of the reasons God shaped my life as He did to write the book and then brought the book “This Side of the Whirlwind” to the Body of Christ in the timing He has. So give God the glory and praise!
To God be the glory and honor and power and praise both now and for ever and ever, amen!
The Seventy Weeks of Daniel (Daniel 9:24-27)
The identity of the pronoun “he” is thoroughly confirmed in “This Side of the Whirlwind” Chapters 7 & 8.
